The best TARA question bank for you depends on what you still need: unfamiliar questions, realistic timed mocks, explanations you can learn from or help with the Writing Task. A large question count alone does not answer that.

TARA question banks at a glance

These are different packages, not interchangeable question totals. A provider may count essay prompts, archived questions and mock-paper questions together. Ask whether the mocks reuse the practice bank before treating them as additional unseen practice.

Original TARA questions or TSA and BMAT past papers?

Past papers are useful. Paying for material you have already completed is a different decision.

UAT-UK provides legacy BMAT and TSA materials because the reasoning components share a common history. Start with those official resources and the Pearson practice tests. An online platform may still add value through explanations, timing and review tools, but access to an old paper is not the same as a new mock written for TARA.

Keep a list of the papers you have completed. Recognising an answer can make a repeat attempt look more encouraging than it really is. Use unfamiliar material when you want to test your approach under pressure, and repeat familiar questions when you want to practise a method.

TaraPrep vs GhostPrep

GhostPrep publishes an eight-stage question process. It says its questions are authored by people, checked with automated rules and reviewed by a specialist. That is its published account; it is not an independent assessment of every question.

Its provider comparison describes TaraPrep's paid explanations as unverified. You can inspect TaraPrep explanations yourself through the free diagnostic and the interactive Critical Thinking guide. Neither sample proves that every question in a paid bank is flawless, but both let you judge the reasoning before paying.

Use the explanation as the test. Does it establish why the marked answer follows? Does it address the tempting alternative? Does it teach a method you could use on a different question? Confident wording is not a substitute for a valid argument.

TaraPrep vs MyTARA

MyTARA's resources page lists TSA and BMAT material alongside custom mock papers. Its TARA/TSA guide describes practice using past-paper questions. That supports checking archive overlap; it does not support saying that every MyTARA question is recycled.

If you have already worked through the archives, ask which remaining papers will be unfamiliar. If you have not, a platform that makes those papers easier to practise and review may be useful. Judge the additional teaching and tools, rather than assuming a large archive is automatically a large supply of new questions.

TaraPrep's free diagnostic uses original TaraPrep practice material covering all three modules. Start there if you want to try a different paper before committing to the paid mocks. TaraPrep vs Exams Ninja

Exams Ninja advertises 2,000+ original questions with worked solutions, tutorials and original simulated mocks. Its displayed prices at the time of review are £29 for tutorials, £59 for the practice bank, £29 for the exam product or £99 for the combined bundle. Its advertised free account includes 50 practice questions.

If you want a larger advertised question inventory, that is a reason to investigate it. A smaller bank is not automatically better, and a bigger one is not automatically better matched to your weak areas.

Check current prices and access terms on the provider's site. Compare the package you would actually purchase, not a competitor's lowest entry price against another provider's full-access price.

How to choose your TARA preparation
