Editorial and Source Policy

TaraPrep articles are intended to help applicants understand the TARA and prepare effectively. They should explain complex information clearly without overstating certainty or implying an official relationship that does not exist.

Guidance is educational information, not a guarantee of an admissions outcome. Readers should verify important decisions with the relevant test provider or university.

For factual claims about the test or a course, we prioritise sources in this order:

1. UAT-UK and other official test-provider materials;
2. official university, department and admissions pages;
3. official publications, reports, freedom-of-information responses or datasets; and
4. reputable secondary sources only where a suitable first-party source is unavailable.

Each article includes an “Official sources” section where readers can inspect the main first-party materials behind its factual claims.

Articles show when they were published and when their factual claims were last reviewed against the linked official sources. A source-review date means the article’s time-sensitive claims were checked against the official materials available on that date.

A later page edit does not automatically change the source-review date. When official guidance changes materially, we update the affected article and its review date.

Some topics require analysis rather than direct repetition of an official figure. Where TaraPrep provides an estimate, conversion, interpretation or practical recommendation, we identify it as such and explain the basis or limitations where they matter.

TaraPrep score estimates are not official scores. University admissions figures can also cover different cycles or definitions, so the relevant period and measure should be stated alongside the number.

TaraPrep is operated by Marazion Ventures Ltd and sells access to its preparation platform. It is independent of UAT-UK, Pearson VUE and the universities discussed in its articles.

References to TaraPrep practice tools should be relevant to the surrounding guidance. Product claims, prices and access periods should match the information visible on the site.

If we find a material factual error, we aim to correct it promptly and review related claims that may be affected. Minor spelling, formatting or clarity edits may be made without changing an article’s source-review date.
