Terms of Service

These terms explain the agreement between you and TaraPrep when you use the service or purchase full access.

Last updated: 15 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of TaraPrep at taraprep.com, including any free features and paid full access. TaraPrep is operated by Marazion Ventures Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"). The service is intended for users in the United Kingdom.

By creating an account, using TaraPrep or purchasing access, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service or buy access.

2. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from our failure to keep the service secure.
  • If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to review these terms and any purchase before you use paid features.
  • Do not create an account using another person's identity or let other people use your account.

Contact us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3. The TaraPrep service

TaraPrep provides digital preparation materials and tools, which may include critical-thinking and problem-solving questions, mock papers, an exam-style simulator, a writing workspace, AI-assisted feedback, progress information and mental-maths practice. Features may differ between free and paid access and may change over time.

TaraPrep materials are designed for practice. They are not official test materials, professional admissions advice, legal advice or a promise of any particular outcome. Always check official admissions, test-registration and university sources before making a decision or relying on a date, rule or requirement.

4. Purchases, access and payment

Paid access is sold as a one-off payment, not a recurring subscription, unless the checkout page expressly says otherwise. The price, included features, access period, applicable taxes and payment methods will be shown clearly at checkout before you place your order.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment-card details. A contract for paid access is formed when we confirm payment and make the relevant access available. If payment cannot be authorised, no paid-access contract is formed.

We will send an order confirmation to the email address associated with your account. Keep that email and these terms for your records.

5. Cancellation, refunds and faulty digital content

Nothing in these terms removes statutory consumer rights. If you buy digital content or a digital service online, you may have a 14-day cancellation right. We will not treat that right as affected by immediate access unless you have separately given the express agreement and acknowledgement required by law. If we do not obtain them, your statutory cancellation rights remain in place.

You can ask to cancel or request help with a refund by emailing [email protected] with your account email, order date and reason for the request. We will assess the request fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law. If digital content is faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care and skill, you may have legal remedies including repair, replacement or a price reduction.

Model cancellation wording

To cancel, email us with: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for TaraPrep full access”, followed by your name, account email, order date and order reference (if available).

6. Acceptable use

You may use TaraPrep for your own personal, non-commercial preparation. You must not:

  • copy, download in bulk, publish, redistribute, sell, licence or make TaraPrep materials available to anyone else;
  • share account access, scrape the service, bypass access controls, or use bots or automated tools except with our written permission;
  • interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, or test its security without permission;
  • use the service unlawfully, abusively or in a way that could harm other users or the service; or
  • submit content that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights.

7. Your submissions and AI feedback

You retain ownership of essays and other content you submit. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to provide TaraPrep, including returning feedback and maintaining your history.

When you request AI essay marking, you instruct us to send the relevant submission and prompt to the configured AI provider to generate feedback. AI feedback can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances. Review it critically and do not treat it as an official mark, professional advice or an admissions decision. Do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.

8. Our intellectual property

TaraPrep and its original materials, software, design, branding, question banks, explanations and other content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for your own preparation during the access period shown at checkout.

9. Availability, changes and suspension

We aim to keep TaraPrep available and accurate, but online services can be interrupted and content can contain errors. We may maintain, update, remove or replace features and content to improve the service, comply with law, address security issues or reflect changes to the test. We will not make a material change to paid access without a good reason, and where a change materially reduces what you paid for, your consumer rights will apply.

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, suspected fraud or a serious breach of these terms. Where practical, we will give notice and an explanation. We may close a free account that has been inactive for an extended period after giving reasonable notice.

10. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, business losses where you use TaraPrep as a consumer, or outcomes caused by your own actions or by information you chose not to verify with official sources.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using TaraPrep at any time. To close an account or make a data request, email [email protected]. Ending an account does not automatically create a refund entitlement, but it does not affect any right you have under consumer law.

12. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections under the law where you live. You and we can bring proceedings in the courts that the applicable law allows.

If you have a concern, please contact us first at [email protected] so that we can try to resolve it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms where necessary to reflect changes to TaraPrep, the law or the way we operate. We will publish the revised version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects paid access that you have already bought, we will take appropriate steps to notify you. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order unless a change is required by law.
